Kai PROCTOR is one of the best TV characters ever invented.
Same actor also played the lead in one of the best movies of all time, ie FESTEN (aka The Celebration).

She was in a horror movie with Gary Oldman called Unborn which was pretty good. Fell in love with her then.

Quite near the end of series 2.
Basically though, something pretty mental happens in most episodes and I doubt there are any that don't involve Hood getting his nuts in.
The writers must all sit around a table trying to see who can come up with the most unusual ways of dying, as it's rare it's anything simple and everyday.

Polite - Fella gets out of jail after 15 years and heads to a small town to look up an ex bird/partner in crime. There is a big brawl in a bar when he gets there and the new to be Sheriff of the town is killed. He then takes his badge buries the new to be sheriff and takes over his identity/job.
